How our auctions work
Some of the toys that pass through our hands deserve more than a fixed price. A boxed tin robot with its key, or something we have simply never seen before. Those go to auction here on the site, so you can bid from wherever you are instead of refreshing a Facebook thread.
Before you bid
You need an account. Create one when you place your first bid, or from the My Account page. We ask for your name, email and a delivery address so the toy can reach you if you win, and we use them for nothing else.
Placing a bid
Each auction shows the current bid, the minimum next bid and the time left. Type your amount and confirm. Bids rise in one euro steps unless the listing says otherwise.
If someone outbids you, we email you straight away so you can come back and go again.
Some lots carry a reserve, which is the lowest price we are willing to accept. If the reserve is not met when the clock runs out, the toy stays with us and may be relisted later.
A few lots have a Buy Now price. Pay it and the auction ends on the spot.
When the auction ends
The auction ends at the time shown on the listing. The highest bid at that moment wins, so if you really want a piece, do not leave it until the last few seconds.
If you win, we email you and the toy appears in your basket as a normal order. Pay by card through the checkout within 48 hours. If we have not heard from you by then, we offer the toy to the next highest bidder. Anyone who wins and does not pay twice is not able to bid again.
Delivery
We post from Cyprus and ship worldwide. Shipping is worked out at checkout from where you are and how heavy the parcel is. Fragile pieces are packed by hand, and anything with its original box travels inside a second box.
Condition and honesty
Every listing describes the toy as we found it, scratches and all. If the box has tape on it, we say so. Look at every photo. If something is not clear, ask before you bid and we will take more pictures. What you see in the photos is what turns up at your door.
